Adventist Schools in Bali

Since the early days of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bali, the dream of establishing a school to serve the community has been deeply rooted in the hearts of its members. The Surapati SDA Church was the first to turn this vision into reality by founding a school within its church compound — a place where faith and education could flourish side by side. Many years later, around twelve years ago, the Nusa Dua SDA Church in Jimbaran continued this noble mission by establishing another school, further extending the church’s ministry of service and learning.

Together, these schools have opened their doors to hundreds of students — not only the children of Adventist families in Bali, but also many from non-Adventist and underprivileged backgrounds — providing them with both knowledge and hope for a better tomorrow. Though our resources remain limited, our dedication is unwavering. We continue to give our very best to nurture these children, equipping them with wisdom, faith, and courage to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Sekolah Permata Ibu

Permata Ibu School (Sekolah Permata Ibu) is the first Adventist school established by the pioneer Adventist church Surapati SDA church in downtown Denpasar. It has 21 teachers and staff (including 3 school principals: kindergarten, primary and junior high school), with 109 students.

Permata Ibu School is grateful for God’s blessings through previous donors who have contributed to the development and provision of facilities such as school buildings, teaching equipment, and the computer laboratory. However, in terms of monthly operations, the school still relies on student tuition fees, which to this day have not been sufficient to cover operational needs.

Therefore, we are launching this program with the goal of supporting the smooth running of the teaching and learning process at Permata Ibu School. Every donation and commitment received will be used to supplement operational funds and maintain facilities, in order to create a comfortable learning environment that fosters both the spiritual and academic growth of our students.

Sekolah Taman Eden

PKBM Taman Eden (Taman Eden school) is the second Adventist school established under the Nusa Dua SDA church in Jimbaran area. It has 12 teachers and staff (2 principals), with 120 registered students.

It began with a simple dream: to provide a school for the few children in our church. In His providence, God brought a group of Australian donors and volunteers, led by Brother Greg Whyte, who came to Bali and built a two-story school building with several small classrooms. Our church members also contributed their time and effort to help construct the building.

What started with only five students has now grown into a thriving school with more than 120 registered students, learning both online and offline, from kindergarten through grade 12. Recently, the school added another two-story building to the compound, with the upper floor designed primarily as a multi-purpose hall.

Despite these blessings, Sekolah Taman Eden is still facing a financial shortfall to complete the ceiling installation and finalize the finishing work for the new building.
