⛪ Singaraja Seventh-Day Adventist Church

A brief history of Singaraja SDA Church:

The establishment of the Adventist presence in Singaraja began in 1987, when worship services were first conducted as an extension of the Surapati Church. These early gatherings took place at the home of the Wuisan family on Jalan Anggrek, Singaraja. As the fellowship grew, services subsequently moved to the residence of the Maraden family on Jalan Sudirman, and later to the home of the Jaudin family, also located on Jalan Sudirman.

By approximately 1993, the Singaraja Branch Sabbath School secured a rented facility for regular worship on Jalan Pulau Muna. During this period, the branch was shepherded by TSPM Youtje Lette, who provided spiritual guidance and leadership to the developing congregation.

In 1991, the congregation acquired a plot of land on Jalan Komodo, Gang Aditya B No. 2. The property was purchased under the name of Mr. Agung Ray Budiana, and construction of the church building commenced around 1992 under the leadership of Mr. Sangit, who served as the head elder at the time.
Pastor S. Marpaung, who oversaw both the Singaraja branch and the Surapati congregation, provided pastoral ministry during this formative period.

Upon completion of the church building the congregation received its formal dedication, officiated by Pastor Andreas Suranto, then President of the East Java Conference. This milestone marked a significant chapter in the growth and establishment of the Adventist church community in Singaraja.
